During May and June 2024, the "Old Scientists into Campus" lecture series, sponsored by Haidian Customs and Engineering Committee, Haidian District Science and Technology Association, Haidian District Shangdi School District Management Center, came to Tsinghua High School。The series of activities invited Guo Hongfeng, senior engineer of the National Astronomical Observatories，Former high technology bureau deputy chief engineer, researcher Chen Heneng，Li Chengsen, former researcher of Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences，Gao Dengyi, a researcher at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences，Zou Dehao, Chief UN Correspondent of People's Daily, five distinguished experts brought a series of enlightening and professional lectures to the students。

On the afternoon of May 16, Professor Li Chengsen came to Tsinghua High School to reveal the plant world and the life of two important scientists, Professor Wu Zhengyi and Professor Xu Ren, for the students of Class 2305。At the beginning of the lecture, Professor Li distinguished the two concepts of scientist and craftsman for everyone, and made it clear that the spirit of both are worth learning, and set up lofty goals for students。When introducing the life of the old professors, Professor Li is always in awe and reveals the veil of botany to us with powerful and humorous language。

On May 23, Mr. Zou Dehao came to the Affiliated High School of Tsinghua University to give a lecture on "The Motherland is in my Heart" to the students of Class 2308 and 2304。Mr. Zou tells the story of his work as a UN correspondent for the People's Daily。In the 1990s, he was asked by a foreign reporter whether he had a car, a color TV, a washing machine, although he did not have enough confidence in the motherland, and now China's development makes him very proud。When faced with powerful countries, he was self-confident as a Chinese, and when others did not believe in our achievements in the Korean battlefield, he argued, and the strong backing of the country gave him enough confidence。

On May 30, Guo Hongfeng, an expert from the Association of Old Science and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave a wonderful lecture on the theme of "Model of The Times - the Father of China's Eye of Heaven - Nan Rendong" to Class 2308 and 2318 of the High School Attached to Tsinghua University。From the conception of the Chinese Eye of Heaven to its realization, to Nan Rendong's role in it, every detail reflects the astronomer's extraordinary wisdom and unwavering conviction。Through this lecture, the students not only had an in-depth understanding of Nan Rendong's outstanding contributions, but also felt the power of a scientist's unremitting pursuit of dreams and truth。

On June 13, Mr. Gao Teng-yi, an old scientist, came to Tsinghua University Affiliated High School to give a lecture entitled "The Stormy Life in the Realization of China's Scientific Dream" to the students of class 2302 and 2317. Mr. Gao told his scientific life in a humorous way, winning bursts of applause from the students。Gao Dengyi is the first Chinese scientist to complete a scientific expedition to the three poles of the Earth。His research has included numerous scientific expeditions to the North and South Poles and the Tibetan Plateau。

On June 20, Chen Heneng, an old scientist, gave a lecture on "Understanding the history of powerful countries and striving to revitalize China -- Starting from the conquering of many key technologies of China's first atomic bomb" to the students of Grade One of the high schools attached to Tsinghua University。Mr. Chen told in detail the background, process and the story of the key technology being conquered in the development of China's first atomic bomb。Through vivid cases and detailed data, he made students deeply feel the hard work and outstanding contributions made by that generation of scientists for the honor of the country and the interests of the nation。

The activity of "Old Scientists into Campus" aims to promote the spirit of scientists and cultivate students' scientific thinking ability。Through the sharing and guidance of old scientists, the students of Tsinghua High School have deeply felt the scientific spirit and rigorous attitude of scientists, which has stimulated their love and pursuit of science。They have said that they should cherish this rare opportunity to learn, and strive to cultivate their scientific thinking ability and constantly improve their scientific literacy。They should follow the example of old scientists, love science, study science and use science, and contribute their own strength to the realization of the Chinese nation's dream of a powerful country in science and technology。
