Students from the International Department of Tsinghua High School participated in the "World Scholars Cup" Challenge and achieved good results

From June 22 to 26, the 2015 World Scholars Cup (WSC) was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia。Twenty-five students from the International Department of the High School Attached to Tsinghua University from grades 7 to 11 participated in the competition and achieved excellent results。

The nine middle school students in the middle school were divided into three groups,Competed against more than 1,500 other junior high school students from more than 500 teams,Joyce Zhang got the TOP50 debaters (the best 50 debaters),His team, along with Sue Yeom and Sherry Cui, won 32nd place in the debate competition。Anna Mao won the writing category out of more than 1,500 contestants, and her writing group with Sabrina Wang and Tracy Yang placed 30th overall。

Sixteen students from the High school competed with about 1,200 students from more than 400 teams and won a total of 67 awards。In the academic test, Angela Zhang and Tonya Chen won first place in the history and Social studies subjects respectively, and many other students also scored in the top 2% of the competition's tests。In the individual all-around scholar ranking,4 students from the International Department ranked TOP60 (Top 60),Julie Wang ranked second,Tonya Chen ranked 17th,Angela Zheng ranks 42,Nicholas Wang ranked 58th。

In the final high School Excellent team award, the students from the International Department of Tsinghua High School fully demonstrated their strength。The ranking of the competition was read from the lowest to the highest. Among them, the team of Fiona Lin, Angela Zheng and Julia Tian won the 16th place。Before the top three places were announced, the host announced that the championship would be held at Yale University in November, and a total of five teams from the International Department of Tsinghua High School entered the championship competition。最后,When the host announced the first winning team,The name of the international department of Tsinghua High School appeared on the big screen,The names Tonya Chen, Julie Wang and David Zhao come up,Chinese names appear,The room went wild!This result means that their total scores in various competitions stand in the first place of more than 1500 students around the world!
