The Grade 2 students of Tsinghua High School spoke at the International Symposium on Environmental Prosperity

From May 24 to 28, 2015 (Beijing time), the 12th International Symposium on Environmental Prosperity, sponsored by the Organizing Committee of the International Symposium on Environmental Prosperity, was held in Beijing Zoo. Representatives of animal behavior and animal welfare experts from more than 40 countries and regions around the world attended the conference。Twenty-one students from the second grade of the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University who participated in the "Into the Hall of Science" program "Animal Abundance Group" attended the meeting. Student representatives Li Anqi, Lv Yaxin, Sun Chuqi, Zhang Yuanjing, Tang Jingwu and Zhao Jiankai gave speeches on the research and practice of abundance since this semester and reported their learning results。

At the meeting on the morning of the 27th, Professor David Shepherdson, chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference on Environmental Prosperity, gave the keynote speech first。next,Li Anqi, Lv Yaxin, Sun Chuqi, Zhang Yuanjing, Tang Jingwu and Zhao Jiankai, students from the High School Attached to Tsinghua University, represented their respective research and study groups in the following topics: "Effects of Abundance on behavior of South African Longhorn antelope in captivity in Beijing Zoo", "Effects of Abundance on behavior of Flingo in captivity", "Effects of Abundance on daily behavior and space utilization of large red kangaroos in captivity in Beijing Zoo"Be entitled",The research learning results were reported in both Chinese and English,The speech of the students won warm applause from the delegates,It has been highly praised by experts at home and abroad。During the tea break, Mr. David Shepherdson, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Symposium on Environmental Abundance, Mr. Wu Naijiang, an expert in animal behavior and environmental abundance from Ocean Park Hong Kong, and other experts from home and abroad communicated with the children enthusiastically and gave guidance to the children's learning and research。

Since the beginning of this semester, the students of the "Zoo Group" of "Entering the Palace of Science" project have been under the guidance of Professor Zhang Li from the College of Life Sciences of Beijing Normal University and engineers He Shaochun, Zhang Yizhuo and Zhang Yuanyuan from Beijing Zoo,Conduct animal behavior observation and environmental abundance learning,The study and practice of environmental abundance of three kinds of animals in the captivity of South African Longhorn antelope, flamingo and red kangaroo were carried out。Excellent performance throughout the study and research process has earned students the opportunity to participate in this seminar。
