On November 2, 2018, the Primary School of Yongfeng School of Tsinghua University ushered in the second harvest festival of "Half an acre of Cotton Field in the Campus", and the teachers and students of the school jointly picked the cotton cultivated for half a year。This is not only a harvest festival of picking cotton, but also a display activity that integrates humanistic education, natural education and labor education。

This harvest festival consists of six areas: picking area, seed removal area, spinning area, weaving area, dyeing area, sewing area, each grade has its own task division。The children themselves deseed the cotton harvested from the spring ploughing and summer weeding, and then spin it into cotton thread on the spinning machine. The threads travel back and forth on the loom and magically become pieces of fabric。The woven cloth is sent to the dyeing area and dyed using the ancient and environmentally friendly tie-dyeing technology, and the pure white cotton cloth has a gorgeous color。The guests who came to visit were overwhelmed by the charm of the motherland's intangible cultural heritage and marveled at the exquisite skills of the children!They are also eager to try, and soon join the ranks of the hands-on。
